With broad experience in organizational leadership, governance, and community-based service delivery, Sharla is committed to advancing the mission of the Mavis McMullen Housing Society to provide safe, stable, and affordable housing for women and families in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Sharla currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Taproot Community Support Services, where she oversees multi-provincial operations across human resources, finance, information technology, quality and accreditation, and communications. Her work focuses on digital transformation, strengthening organizational systems, and measuring impact to support effective, people-centred services. Sharla brings a background working across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors, primarily within the health and community services field. She has been a member of the Mavis McMullen Housing Society Board of Directors since 2025 and currently serves on the Fundraising Committee.
